I'm Ms. Erin Hurley, I'm 22 years old and the kindergarten teacher of your child. I have a degree in elementary education as well as special ed elementary education. Having both degrees will help me to teach all different children in all of the different types of ways that they learn. I believe in teaching to your kids at their pace and in a way that can accommodate the different learning styles that children have. As a student, I learned better from hand on learning and not by being talked at all of the time and I want to make my class a class that every child can learn in. I teach with a very interactive curriculum that allows the children to be hands on learners as well as listening learners.


Technology is going to be incorporated in my classroom and in my teaching quite a bit. Technology offers so many educational proponents that often go unrecognized because they aren't used as often in the classroom. I believe that it's extremely important to express ones self and that it helps children develop a self understanding but also relationships with other people. I will integrate the use of technology in my classroom to help children with this. Technology offers so many different ways to be creative and express yourself and I want my students to be able to learn about multiple ways and find one that best suits them. Making videos, paint, music clips, and etc. are all very different but fun ways to be that revolve around the use of technology. This is one thing I really want to focus the use of technology in helping build my kindergartener's and their self awareness and awareness of others.

Technology will also allow me to use graphics and videos during lessons. This can grab my students attention and if used appropriately it will stick with my students so that they retain the information that they are learning. I want learning to be fun and interactive for my students. Kindergartener's are generally between 5 and 6 years of age. They have a short attention span, but by incorporating technology into my teachings I can keep things fun and educational and keep their attention on the lesson at hand.
As a professional in a school, you should hire me because I can introduce a new way of teaching to tenured staff. By helping introduce the integration of technology to more teachers we are able to use technology to the fullest that a lot of money has been spent on. Also we can give more children the opportunity to learn and use technology to the fullest and as technology keeps growing and improving, it's my belief that we should help our students grow and improve with their knowledge and use of technology.
