Lesson 6:

Title of lesson:
Photo What?

Description of lesson:
In this lesson we will be discussing photosynthesis. We will be discussing how flowers create the oxygen that we use and how without plants we couldn't exist. The process of photosynthesis will be explained and the kids will be expected to be able to explain to others what it is.

Assignment:
The assignment for this lesson is to create a Chirbit. For the Chirbit a definition must be given for how plants can create oxygen. The students are expected to record their definition and understanding of how plants create oxygen in a way that can be understood by their peers.

*This podcast explains what and how photosynthesis works.

Technology reflection:
The technology used in this lesson gives the students a way to present their ideas without having to feel the pressures of presenting to a full class. This technology can help the students build their presentation skills in a way that would not have been possible before. It gives them a chance to practice their speech and feel comfortable with their presentation.

Evaluation:
My concern about this project is that the students will not understand the point of recording their presentations and that they will not appreciate the technology they have been given in order to make different kind of presentations.
